WORLD 6-3. THE FINAL BATTLE FOR THE UNIVERSE

THE BEST GALAXY IN THE GAME

We have arrived at the last Galaxy of World 6. The final battle is getting started. This is one of the greatest Galaxies in the whole game. I will analyse it in a different way. Because it is the final battle. This Galaxy desrves to have an entire entry. So let´s start!!!

This is a fight to save your special one, Mario. Be careful out there, and don´t give up, no matter what!

That´s what the first Luma tells you when you arrive. You can get the 6 Energy Point Mushroom by jumping on a Bowser´s flag.

 

After gettting through come flames, you reach the Hammer Bros. You must defeat the 3 enemies to make a special flower appear. 

With that flower, you must fly until you reach an earth platform. You can spin three times to go up, and if a fireball hits you, you´ll lose the flower and fall to the lava.  In that earth platform, you´ll find a Spin Drill. You must avoid the Banzai Bills and find the brown platforms to dig, until you reach the Star Ring to go to the next phase. 

When you arrive at the next planet, you won´t have the Spin Drill. But you will have to use the Cloud Power-Up to rach the Star Ring, while avoiding the Dry Bones (they regenerate each time you kill them) and Bullet Bills, that can destroy the clouds. 


Go on and save your special one... and return to us safely!
In the next phase, you must cross across Kamek´s bridge to find Yoshi. You´ll need him to reach Bowser´s door. 

After going through some tricky platforms, that will fall to the lava if you step on them. Then you will face two Boomerang Brothers. By defeating them, you will unlock a path.

This path will be oping and closing, and you must be fast if you don´t want to die. Yoshi must eat the Dash Pepper and start running before the lava crushes you.  If you´re fast enough, you´ll reach the Star Ring.

 Next phase is tough, too. You must walk through the pink path (the one from the Boo Moon) and it will be disappearing. Not just that: Kamek will be throwing you fireballs, and the titanic Magmaarghs will try to eat you. The last one is so big that you´ll need Yoshi to eat the Blimp Fruit to evade it. 


After doing that you´ll reach Bowser´s door. 

My explanation may leave some doubts, so here you have a video. 
But this Galaxy is great. It is the best Bowser´s Galaxy of both games. Good music, most of the Power-Ups, difficult enemies. 

BOWSER´S FINAL BATTLE
It´s time. We must defeat Bowser, and save Peach, the Universe, the Power Stars, the Lumas... Everyone. 
We have faith you´ll beat that monster, Mario!!
We´re all counting on you, Mario!
You must the Universe! After breaking the door, you´ll face Bowser. 
He will tell you his plans of creating a Galactic Empire with Peach, and then he will try to destroy Mario AGAIN!

There is not much to say about this battle. It is like the previous ones in Worlds 2 and 4. It´s not a grat deal. Bowser will try to use his punch, his flame and he will make meteorites fall on the planet. By hitting him 4 times, you´ll send him to a Black Hole, you´ll get the Maxi Star, and save the Universe. Everything is Ok.

SURE? NO. BOWSER NEVER DIES! 
When you´re about to get the Maxi Star, he eats it and he becomes even BIGGER!
Now it will be more difficult to hit him. Because now you will always be over the meteorites. Mario must hit him with these meteorites four times, while avoiding Bowser´s punch. If you do it, a Black Hole will make Bowser disappear. Mario has saved the Universe, AGAIN!

ROSALINA APPEARS
After getting the Maxi Star, Rosalina, the Queen of the Stars, appear with her spaceship (the same from Super Mario Galaxy. That was a REAL spaceship).

And it turns out that the Luma that has accompanied you during all these adventure was Rosalina´s son! The Master Luma goes with his mother, and Mario and Peach return to their World. 



GOODBYE, MASTER LUMA! WE WON´T FORGET YOU.

THE BASES OF SUPER MARIO GALAXY 2

STARTING THE GAME

When you start the game, you receive an invitaton from Princess Peach to eat some cake while watching the stars. On the road to Peach´s castle you find one little and tiny Luma (the living stars that appeared in the first part). He is the young master of the Lumas. The little Luma gets calmed and decides to go with Mario. Everything looks good.  

But Bowser will appear to kidnap Princess Peach. What a surprise, no? But the difference is that he is huge, enormous. You will have to follow him to rescue Princess Peach and all the Power  Stars that Bowser has stolen. 

We will talk about the Galaxies later.

BASIC CONTROLS

To play this game you will need the Wii remote and the Nunchuk. Let me explain the basic things:

You move Mario with the Nunchuk, and you jump with A.

There are different ways to jump: the triple jump (press A three times each one when you touch the floor), the Bomb jump (A and then Z), the reverse Jump (Z and A) and the Length jump (Z and A while you are running). One difference with the other Mario games is that you can spin shacking the Wii remote. By doing this, you can defeat enemies, activate new things and even do longer jumps. 

WHAT TO DO WHILE PLAYING

In this Mario 3D game, you will find many secrets, but what you have to do is to progress through the level to reach the Power Star in the end. There are Green pipes and Star Rings (second 3:35 in the upper video) that will allow to reach new phases. You must collect Star Bits and coins (they help to recover your HP). In the first level of each Galaxy there is a Comet Medal, that you must get if you want to pass the game 100%. 

There are a lot of Stars in this game-242 exactly- but I will tell you about them, so this game is not a problem anymore.

There are also many enemies and Power-Ups. Don´t rush. We will analize all of them.

You may not be an excellent player, just like me. So don´t worry if you die. In fact there are 128 ways to die. I´ve experimented all the ways, I promise. 

MARIO´S SPACESHIP

As in Super Mario Galaxy, you can find the headquarters. It is a spaceship that seems like a planets with Mario´s face. It uses the energy of Power Stars you get in the game to move through the different Galaxies. The boss of the spaceship is called Lubba ( Destrella in the Spanish version of the game). 

 

LUIGI AND THE ORANGE LUMA 

In some Galaxies, Luigi can replace Mario if you want to play as the Green brother. There is a Cooperative mode (or Co-op) in which the second player controls an orange Luma. The only thing it does is defeating weak enemies and getting coins and Star Bits. That´s why all great games for one person are boring for two people. It happens in this game, it will happen in Super Mario Odyssey. 

THE COSMIC SPIRIT

Don´t worry if you are in trouble and you can´t get a Star in a Galaxy: After you die a few times, the Cosmic Spirit will appear next to you. It is a black women, similar to Rosalina, the cosmic prtincess. She will ask you if you want help to get the Star. If you answer YES, she will possess you and take you to the Star. However what tou will get is a Bronze Star. You will have to try on your own, as I did, to get the Power Star.
