HOW IS THIS GALAXY
I think this Galaxy has the best soundtrack of the whole game. I hear it and I start singing it. This Galaxy has a really difficult part. But before that, what you have to do is to us the Bob-ombs, Bowser´s bombs to destroy the glasses that will allow you to continue. You will have to advance by using the blue Stars and without being touched by the electric bombs. 

You only have one opportunity. If you get buzzed...


ENEMIES
You need that stupid Bob-ombs to continue, but there are also some monsters called Topmans, that can push you to the Bombs. 

You shouldn´t make this guy feel angry. He´s a little bit.. EXPLOSIVE!!! Ja, ja,ja. Bad joke.
Oh, yeah, The electricity is the worst enemy in this Galaxy. It is everywhere, and if you get buzzed, you die. 

MY ADVICE
RUN, RUN, RUN, MARIO, RUN!!!
These were my exact words when I saw this Galaxy. And it can be useful for every gamer. The electric balls will not wait for you. And you can end... TOO BAD!! 

C´MERE, TOPMAN

(¡SÍGUEME, TROMPO!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This is a hidden Star in the previous Galaxy. Do you remember the Gearmo from the Boulder Bowl Galaxy?

YEAH, THAT ONE. Well, one of her friends wants you to bring her a Topman so she can give you the Star. It is easier than the other mission, because this enemy can´t make you lose 1 HP if it hits you, but you must take care of it, so electricity doesn´t kill the Topman. However, the Topman can push you out of the platforms, If you can do it, the Gearmo will give you a Power Star. 

ENEMIES

TOPMANS!!!! And Topminis, and Bob-ombs, and electricity: To sum up, all the enemies of the previous Galaxy.

MY ADVICE

You could eliminate the Topminis, so they don´t disturb you, but there are tons of them: INFINITE DISTURBING TOPMINIS. You should guide that Topman, without hitting youself against them. 

Altough they don´t make you lose 1 Health Point, they can push you out of the platform. 

TO THE TOP OF TOPMAN´S TOWER

(A DOS VELOCIDADES EN LA TORRE)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY.

Well, the title sais what you have to do: climb to the top of the Topman´s tower. It won´t be easy: everything will be extremely fast. However, there are some blue buttons that you can press to make the enemies move slowly. You must use the Green Topmans to advance through this Galaxy, by jumping on them so they make you fly. As I´ve said before, the only thing that Topmans do is pushing you. 

ENEMIES

Do I have to say that there are lots of Topmans? Well, and electric balls called Amps, but you surely have seen them in previous Galaxies. But  the most dangerous enemies are the Thwomps-they can smash you if you don´t control the time. There are also Water Shooters that can push you out of the platforms. 

TOPMAN´S RING (MINIBOSS)

Here you must push two Topmans to the electricity barrier that is surrounding you. By doing this, a Green Topman will appear and it will push you to the Star.

MY ADVICE

Trying to climb the Tower without making the enemies go slowly is a very risky idea. I recommend doing a Bomb Jump on the blue buttons, so the enemies are not so dangerous.In addition, slow-enemy motion seems like  black and white TV. But before the effects disappear, you should found another blue button. 

BOO MOON GALAXY

(GALAXIA LUNA BOO) 

SILVER STARS POP-UP

(ESTRELLAS DE PLATA EN LA CASA DESPLEGABLE)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

If you thought that Boos wouldn´t come back, you were WRONG! They are in this moon to disturb you. You will have to obtain 5 Silver Stars in a Pop-Up house. It will go up and down. But before reaching this, more trials are waiting for you: a dark labyrinth, a moon with 5 Star Ring pieces and a walk in pink panels over a deadly pond. 

ENEMIES

BOOS AND OCTOBOOS!!! They are undefeatable, and they will be disturbing you the whole Galaxy. This would be a good Galaxy for Luigi, the Green Brother. 

 

I´M USED TO DEAL WITH BOOS, BUT I´M AFRAID OF THEM. 

MY ADVICE

It may seem a very difficut Star, but it is quite easy. The only thing you have to worry about is following the pink path without falling to the pond, but even that is easy.  Collect the 5 Silver Stars but don´t forget about the Boos or they will hit you. 

HAUNTING THE HOWLING TOWER

(MARIO FANTASMA, ¡A FLOTAR!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This is a Galaxy prepared for you to use a special Power-Up: Boo Mario. You land in the dark labyrinth of the previous Star. But now you must look for a pipe that will send you to a Howling Tower, full of monsters and windmills. Mario will have to fly to get the Power Star, but how do we do that?

BOO MARIO

This is a Super Mario Galaxy Power-Up. It will allow you to fly whenever you want and to pass through the walls, just like Boos. However, if you receive damage, you will lose your Power-Up, but there will always be a Boo Mushroom,, so you can keep flying. 

Mario behaves as a Boo! I hope Luigi isn´t there. He would get scared.

ENEMIES

Boos, Octoboos... and Spiny Hermits. But now it´s even more difficult to avoid them. Because Boo Mario can´t hit the enemies and he moves very slowly. To sum up, it is impossible to hit, but easy to get hit. 

MY ADVICE

Practise with Boo Mario, and contol the timing, because otherwise, the enemies will hit you and you will to start all over again. 

And thanks God that King Boo isn´t here. He would be a tough boss.

THE STAR IN THE SINKING SWAMP

(UNA LUNA COMO UNA CUNA)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This is a hidden Star in the first mission. Instead of jumping on the Star Ring when you´re on the pink path, jump to another hidden path, but without falling to the swamp, until you reach the hidden Star. 

YES, Luigi is coming to the Boo Moon. But was he forced to do it? I thought Luigi was resting at home, while Mario was trying not to fall into the Swamp.

ENEMIES

The same than in the previous Star: Boos and Octooboos (my hypothesis is that they are the spirits from all the Octoombas we´ve killed, and the population in this Moon will increase if we kill more enemies).

MY ADVICE

Run, because the path will be appearing and disappearing really fast, but if you´re focused, you´ll get it (even if you play as the frightened Green Brother).

UPSIDE DIZZY GALAXY

(GALAXIA MANSIÓN SUBE Y BAJA)

A WALK ON THE WEIRD SIDE

(UN CAMINO SIN PIES NI CABEZA)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This looks like the Gravity mansion in World 1. Do you remember it? But now, the Gravity platforms are moving and in one part, the gravity will change every 5 seconds. So you must be cautious, so you don´t fall down or you get hit by the electricity. This is the real Gravity challenge. Avoid the enemies, go with correct timing, and you´ll get the Power Star.

ENEMIES

The electric walls appear to be the principal enemy, like in the Space Storm Galaxy. Paragoombas and Swaphoppers (the same enmies that in Rightside Down Galaxy) are minor enemies.

MY ADVICE

The music can give you a clue of when the gravity is going to change. Listen to the music so you don´t fall into the electric panels.

BURNING UPSIDE DIZZY

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

Welcome to another hidden Star. As in the Rightside Down Galaxy, in World 1, here there is a Burning-Box mission. You will have to destroy all the boxes with fireballs in 20 SECONDS!!!!

So the Gearmo gives you the Star.

WORK, WORK, AND DESTROY THE BOXES. I´M EXPLOITING YOU AND I´M ONLY GIVING YOU 1 POWER STAR.

ENEMIES

Aaah... Remember that Paragoomba?

YES, THAT ONE. 

"I WILL DEFEAT MARIO THIS TIME!!" HE WILL NOT REACH THE GEARMO POWER STAR!!

How many times has this enemy said that? The Paragoomba is the most stomped enemy in the game.

MY ADVICE

Don´t throw a lot of firaballs in one place, because one fireball can destroy all the boxes in its way. 

And use Luigi if you can. It is not essential, but after a lot of attempts with Mario, I tried with Luigi and I got the Star.

WORLD 4-2. SPRING MARIO AND THE LAVA GAUNTLETS

STARSHINE BEACH GALAXY

SURF, SAND, AND SILVER STARS

(SOL, PLAYA Y ESTRELLAS DE PLATA)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This reminds me a lot of Super Mario Sunshine. It is a huge beach where someone has hidden 5 Silver Stars. I think it is a Galaxy to have fun, because there are plenty of coins, secrets, and Yoshi´s Power-Ups (the only missing one is the Bulb Berry). This is one of the best Galaxies of the game. And you can take quite good photos...

Don´t you think so? Just relax, surf and don´t rush.

ENEMIES
Although this is a relaxing Galaxy, there are lots of enemies. Maybe they also want to have some holidays in these Galaxy. You will fine lots osf species, such as Petaris (hidden enemies), Lakitus and Spinies, Twirlips, Goombas, Skeeters, Bloopers (like Squidward), Urchins, Crabs, Cheep Cheeps, Gringills... (I think I should stop, no?) 

I´M A PETARI. SORRY, BUT IT´S ALL BOOKED IN THE STARSHINE BEACH GALAXY. PLEASE COME NEXT YEAR!
MY ADVICE
Explore. I know I may be repetitive, but do it. You will discover things you hadn´t imagine. This is a huge Galaxy. So, explore, try to find 1- Up mushrooms, and have fun. Becuse it has been difficult to make up to here. 

BUT REMEMBER TO COLLECT THE SILVER STARS!!!

CLIMBING THE CLOUDY TOWER
(¡SUBE A LA TORRE DE LAS NUBES!) 
HOW IS THIS GALAXY
This Galaxy is the same as the previous one. But there are some differences: Firstly, there are some creatures called the Piantas (Super Mario Sunshine). They can throw you away, because they are trying to get stronger. You must climb to a tower (well, the entrance is underwater) and make a Cloud Power- Up appear. With this Power-Up it will be much easier to get the Star that is over the second tower. 

ENEMIES
The enemies don´t want to leave this beach. Excapt the Lakitus and Spinies, they are the same enemies (well, and the Water Shooters) that in the first Star. The water is also an enemy, because it can make your Cloud Power-Up disappear.

But you can use this ships to move without losing your Cloud Power-Up.

MY ADVICE 
Use these green ships, because if not, it will be really difficult to get the Star. I needed 27 minutes... to know how to use that ships. However, you can do this:

CHOMPWORKS GALAXY

HOW IS THIS GALAAXY

Well. After relaxing in the Super Mario Sunshine Beach, you will have to work with the Gearmos. 

Yes, that robots. What you will have to do is to guide the Chomps to the hole with the Chomp symbol. When one Chomp lands there a Star Ring will appear so you can go to the next phase. And why the Galaxy is titled like that? Because the last Chomp is made of gold. 

But don´t be as stupid as the Gearmo, who try to stop them by hitting against them!

ENEMIES

The Chomps are the main enemies! However, you´ll have to guide them to reach the next phase.  Appart from them, Octoombas, Goombeetles, they are the classic enemies. 

MY ADVICE

Don´t try to kill the Octoombas or the Goombeetles. It will be funnier if the Chomps do it instead of you. Appart from that, my advice is to do a Reverse Jump (Z and then A) to avoid hitting that huge Chomps. 

SPRING INTO THE CHOMPWORKS 
(CHOMP RODANDO Y MARIO BOTANDO)
HOW IS THIS GALAXY
NOOOOOO! The worst Mario Power-Up is back! Spring Mario will be the proagonist Power-Up of this Galaxy. You will have to bounce avoiding that freaking Chomps. The last phase looks like the Tower of World 1 (Every planet has its price), but now jumping is more difficult, because it´s incredibly difficult to control Spring Mario.

SPRING MARIO

Basically, it is Mario in a dock. It is not an original Power-Up, and it is impossible to control. The only thing that it can do is to bounce by pressing A. And it is easy to go out from the path. So remember, if you get the Spring Power-Up, you will probably end... UAAAAAAAH!

ENEMIES
Again, the freaking Chomps. NOOOOO!

I CAN DEFEAT MARIO. THE SPRING POWER-UP IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTROL!

MY ADVICE
Start pressing A every time you land. This will give you a good rhythm and it will be more difficult to go out from the path. 

YEAH.This Power-Up is unbelievable. Even for the Lumas.

BOWSER´S GRAVITY GAUNTLET

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

For the Spanish readers, it will be easy to understand the title of the Galaxy. You must be calmed and do not rush. A bad jump or even one second can make Mario die. The gravity is crazy here. You must go up, down, underwater. This Galaxy, from my point of view, really deserves to be a Bowser´s Galaxy. It has everything, but the final boss isn´t really hard.

  

ENEMIES

As in the other Bowser´s Galaxy, there are tons of enemies. Whomps (in the upper photo), Magikoopas, Goombas, Dry Bones, and the worst one:

KAMEK/ MAGIKOOPA (THE BEST BOWSER´S MINION)

OK, the last image may be from Super Mario Galaxy, but Magikoopa is a great Bowser´s Minion, so he deserves a good death, and the best image of him in the Galactic saga in this blog.

BOWSER (BOSS)

What´s up, Bowser? Honestly, I expected more from this battle. Bowser keeps being so easy to killl, but he has new tricks, like his improved punch. his renewed meteorites and... Well, I thought he would have three things. It os not a very difficult boss, but it can plant a huge battle. 

MY ADVICE
Get a 6-point mushroom if you can. Bowser is not a difficult boss, but don´t let your guard down. Appart from that, be careful with the gravity: It is the worst enemy of the game. 

WORLD 4-1. HUGE CHALLENGES FOR A GREAT HERO

SUPERMASSIVE GALAXY

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

HERE EVERYTHING IS INCREDIBLY BIG!!!! The Lumas, the enemies, the platforms. You must learn to use the lenght jump, in order to go from one platform to another. This is one of my favourite Galaxies in the game. I liked that huge enemies. Some of them can be easily killed by spinning or by using the Spin Drill. Others are awesome, but they can kill you. This Galaxy is different from what I expected, an that capacity of surprising you is what makes this game a great game. 

ENEMIES

Giant Goombas, Huge Piranha Plants, Crazy Titanic Twhomps, Koopa Troopas, and Big Angry Wigglers are the collosus enemies you will have to deal with. 

MY ADVICE

This Galaxy has one useful trick. When you are at the Koopas´Planet, jump over the shell of one of them and keep jumping. After some rebounds, you will start wining 1-Ups in a fast an easy way. Keep jumping until you have 99 Ups.

IN FULL BLOOM
(EL FONTANERO JARDINERO)
HOW IS THIS GALAXY
This is a hidden star. Before going to the Wiggler´s planet, you can choose between going there directly or doing some gardening on a green planet. While you are walking through this planet, flowers appear. When all the planet gets full of plants, you will have the path for this hidden Star.

ENEMIES
There are not enemies in this planet. You only must deal with the enemies in the previous phases. 
MY ADVICE
Get the coins, because, in one phase of the game, you will have to pay coins to roll a dice, and get more 1-Ups. You may don´t know it. But every time you reset the game, you only have 4 lives. So you choose:
A) Getting the 99 lives by jumping on the Koopa.
B) Paying 100 coins to a Lumalee.

HONEYHOP GALAXY

(GALAXIA MONTES MELOSOS)

THE SWEETEST SILVER STARS

(DULCES ESTRELLAS DE PLATA) 

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

Here, Bee Mario rerurns. You will have to climb through this Galaxy, getting the 5 Silver Stars that are here. Until you reach the Bee Queen, the ruler, that has a Silver Star at his back. Howerver, these Stars are truly hidden. I needed 30 minutes to collect all of them. And there will also be enemies there to disturb you, and water, that will make you lose your Bee Power-Up.

This is the Bee Queen.

ENEMIES

There is a huge amount of Octoombas in this Galaxy: red Octoombas, Green Octoombas... There is a Star over a Plant that will trap you if you step on it. The Choppahs (that undefeatable enemies) will be there too.

And if that wasn´t enough, there are Water Shooters that will make you lose your Bee Power-Up.

MY ADVICE

This is a huge Galaxy. Before going to the next phase, explore so you don´t have forgotten anything. If you don´t find a Silver Star, don´t worry. You have all the time of the world (until your mother tells you to stop playing Super Mario Galaxy 2).

THE CHIMP´S SCORE CHALLENGE

(¡A POR PUNTOS! ¡REVOLOTEANDO Y PISOTEANDO!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

Yes, the Chimp is back, and he has a new, difficult challenge. It consists in stomping all the enemies and collect the coins, until you get 10000 points. The difficult part? In the Fluffy Bluffy Galaxy all the enemies were together, and there was only one path to follow. But here you must choose which enemies do you want to kill. And you have to be fast. You have only 120 seconds.

JI, JI JI!! GET 10000 POINTS OR YOU WILL LOSE 1 LIFE!

ENEMIES

Octoombas, Octoombas, Octoombas, and those are.... Yeah, more Octoombas. There are only Octoombas in these Galaxy. Each one of them will give you 100, 200 or 300 coins. 

I don´t want to put you under pressure, but if you don´t get 10000 coins, you´ll lose a life. 

MY ADVICE

It took me thousands of attempts to beat this guy. My only advice, is to get the coins from the enemies (they can give you 100 points) and spinning while ytou are jumping. This will make you stay a little more time in the air.  My record is 10730 points.Will you reach it?

FLIPSVILLE GALAXY

(GALAXIA CARA Y CRUZ)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

Welcome to Flipsville!!! An idillic city where you can walk up and down!! You will discover platfroms for your Bomb Jumps, you will have fun with the Toad Brigade, and you will be killed by the awful monsters living in this Galaxy.

This is what I´ve read about Flipsville, and it was true. You can walk by two sides of the planet.
What you have to do is a bomb jump on some blue platforms. But this is not as idillic as it may seem. There are plenty of monsters here that will want to stop you so you don´t get the Power Star... But the boss is even worst. 

ENEMIES
Appart from the Octoombas, new enemies will appear. You can defeat some monsters called Pupdozers by going to the other side of the planet and doing a Bomb jump in their belly. The final boss is the  Pupdozer Queen. However, you can´t defet Chomps by doing this. They will hit you.

GLAMDOZER (BOSS)
You will arrive to a leaf planet, where Glamdozer is sleeping. Do a Bomb Jump on their belly  to wake her up. She will start chasing you, and he can walk from one side of the planet to the other one, and it will be more difficult to hit her in the belly. But, by doing this 3 more times, you will defeat her and get the Power Star. 

Ah, yeah. She can throw fireballs to hit you.
MY ADVICE
Don´t do what I did. To defea this boss easily, you must stay in a point of the planet. near a Bomb Jump platform, and keep jumping from one side to another. This is an explanation video:

FLIPSVILLE´S NEW DIGS
(TROMPOTALADROS EN VUELTIBURGO)
HOW IS THIS GALAXY
Welcome back to Flipsville! Now, instead of doing Bomb Jumps, you must go from one side of the planet to another by using the Spin Drill.  After talking to Captain Toad, you will have to reach a phase where there are 5 Silver Stars. But it won´t be that easy. The gravity will be always changing, so learn to deal with it.  By getting the Silver Stars without being killed, a Power Star will appear at the centre of the planet. 


ENEMIES 
Twirlips and  Mechakoopas will be there to disturb you. In the last phase, you must be careful, so you don´t hit yourself against the Fuzzies.

Don´t worry if you don´t reach what you wanted with the Spin Drill. You´ll have tons of opportunities to get to the correct point. There is not a timer putting you under pressure.

SWEET MISTERY GALAXY

BULB BERRY´S MYSTERIOUS GLOW

(¡FRUTAS LUMINOSAS, GALLETAS MISTERIOSAS!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

After giving 1200 Star Bits to a Hungry Luma, you will discover this Galaxy. Here the Bulb Berry is very important. You will need it to make the path appear. This Galaxy has a Sweet theme. There are plenty of donuts, and cream, and... Mmm, I´m hungry now! Don´t visit this Galaxy if you hadn´t eaten before.

And remember that if you don´t get a Bulb Berry before the effects disappear... UAAAAH!

The Star is at the top of a cake.

ENEMIES

I´ve found the way to defeat the Choppahs! Yoshi van eat that monsters so they don´t disturb anymore, and you can get Star Bits from them. An enemy called Smeech can stick to Yoshi´s mouth, so you can´t eat the Bulb Berries. Spin to defeat him. 

MY ADVICE

Do you remember that I´ve said that in Yoshi´s Galaxies there are plenty of gliches? I´ve found another one.

Don´t rush here, because there are lots of Bulb Berries to avoid deaths. You must run only when the music  of Bulb Yoshi gets faster. 

I think this is a relaxing Galaxy. I almost fall asleep while playing. The music is quite relaxing: Here you have an extract.

WORLD 3-2. FIRE MARIO AND YOSHI VS MEGAHAMMER

FREEZY FLAKE GALAXY

(GALAXIA NIEVE Y LAVA) 

BOWSER ON ICE

(LA ESTATUA DE BOWSER EN EL LAGO DE LAVA)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

No, I´m sorry. Bowser doesn´t appear here. I thought that too, when I saw the title of the Galaxy, but it was a statue made of ice, that you must destroy by throwing fire to it, when you are Fire Mario. You must advance through a Galaxy of lava and ice, but without dying. 

ENEMIES

There are two varieties of L´ils: the L´il Brrs (the ice enemies) and the L´il Cinders-lava Enemies. You can kill both of them by spinning and hitting them again. Fire Mario can destroy some ice statues, like Goomba and Bowser´s Ice Statues. Poor Bowser. I felt I was destoying a masterpiece when I threw ice to that statue.

You can also hit the statues with snowballs.

MY ADVICE.

In one phase, you will have to destoy some ice blocks with Fire Mario. Don´t stand just in front of the block, because the upper ice block will fall down to smash you.

SORBETTI´S CHILLY RECEPTION
(LA NARIZ ROJA DE SORBETTI)
HOW IS THIS GALAXY
This is the second Star of this Galaxy. It is really similar to Bowser on Ice but, here you will need Rock Mario, and in one phase, you will have to walk on a foggy path, so you won´t see anything. However, the really difficult thing is the final boss.

ENEMIES
The L´il Brrs and the Goombas will try to stop you from getting the 5 Star Ring pieces. 

SORBETTI (BOSS)
This is one of the most difficult bosses of the game. You have to walk over him before you arrive to the planet where the fight will take place. He is a PLANET!!! He is huge, but his weakpoint is his nose. Hit him there three times and you will defeat him. However, he will be rollind and trying to hit you, so it won´t be easy. 



MY ADVICE 
Don´t rush and wait before hitting him. Be very careful, because he can hit you if you are not accurate.













THE CHIMP´S SKATING CHALLENGE
(¡A PATADONES CON LOS INFLONES!)
HOW IS THIS GALAXY
This is a hidden Star. After destroying a snow tree with a fireball or by usig Rock Mario,  a Green pipe will appear. By entering in the Green Pipe, you will face the Chimp, who has a new challenge: skate and destroy all the Gummits you can. The Green one will give you 10 points, and the golden ones will give you 50 points. Howver, there are Spiked Gummits that will stop you. You must reach 500 points to get the Star.

ENEMIES

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This Galaxy has one of the elements that has characterised the difficulty of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2: the ball with a Power Star inside. ALL THE BALL GALAXIES ARE DIFFICULT. Luckily, in this Game there are only 2 Ball Galaxies. Here there are plenty of artistic elements, such as brushes, in this Galaxies. 

ENEMIES

There are Goombas, that can be easily killed by stomping them with the ball, and Bob-ombs that will send you away when they do KABOOOM!

CHOMP (MINIBOSS)

You will have to fight against a huge Chomp, and just by hitting against him with the ball, you must push him out of the platform. 

LOOK AT HIS EYES!! HE´S EVIL!

MY ADVICE

Don´t rush. You have plenty of time to complete the Galaxy. And don´t try to get all the coins. This can bring you horrible deaths.

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

Here you will need Yoshi. There are Bullet Bills that you will need him to throw to break things. This is an awesome Galaxy, but Bowser Jr. will be there to disturb you. Bullet Bills, electric enemies and giant flying ships are only some of the dangers waiting for you in this Galaxy. However, don´t be scared. Yoshi will be with you. 

ENEMIES

Fizzlits (electric enemies) Bullet Bills that will be chasing you, Undergrunt Gunners, Hammer Bros... They are just some of the enemies that will be here waiting for you.  

MEGAHAMMER (BOSS) 
This is the final boss of World 3: Bowser JR´s robot. He has two hammers instead of hands, that can use to smash you. He can also throw Bullet Bills, but you cna hit him in three blue points twice by giving the Bullets back. This process wil discover the cockpit, where Bowser Jr is. Hit him there twice, while avoiding the hammers and you will get the Maxi Star.

MY ADVICE
There are tons of ways to die here, but, as Yoshi is here, there are lots of glitches. This is not an advice. If you can try this glitches, try them: They are quite funny. 
Appart from that, in the final battle , there is a Star Ring that will send you to Megahammer´s back. By doing this, you can hit him in one of the blue points.
