HOW IS THIS GALAXY
I think this Galaxy has the best soundtrack of the whole game. I hear it and I start singing it. This Galaxy has a really difficult part. But before that, what you have to do is to us the Bob-ombs, Bowser´s bombs to destroy the glasses that will allow you to continue. You will have to advance by using the blue Stars and without being touched by the electric bombs. 

You only have one opportunity. If you get buzzed...


ENEMIES
You need that stupid Bob-ombs to continue, but there are also some monsters called Topmans, that can push you to the Bombs. 

You shouldn´t make this guy feel angry. He´s a little bit.. EXPLOSIVE!!! Ja, ja,ja. Bad joke.
Oh, yeah, The electricity is the worst enemy in this Galaxy. It is everywhere, and if you get buzzed, you die. 

MY ADVICE
RUN, RUN, RUN, MARIO, RUN!!!
These were my exact words when I saw this Galaxy. And it can be useful for every gamer. The electric balls will not wait for you. And you can end... TOO BAD!! 

C´MERE, TOPMAN

(¡SÍGUEME, TROMPO!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This is a hidden Star in the previous Galaxy. Do you remember the Gearmo from the Boulder Bowl Galaxy?

YEAH, THAT ONE. Well, one of her friends wants you to bring her a Topman so she can give you the Star. It is easier than the other mission, because this enemy can´t make you lose 1 HP if it hits you, but you must take care of it, so electricity doesn´t kill the Topman. However, the Topman can push you out of the platforms, If you can do it, the Gearmo will give you a Power Star. 

ENEMIES

TOPMANS!!!! And Topminis, and Bob-ombs, and electricity: To sum up, all the enemies of the previous Galaxy.

MY ADVICE

You could eliminate the Topminis, so they don´t disturb you, but there are tons of them: INFINITE DISTURBING TOPMINIS. You should guide that Topman, without hitting youself against them. 

Altough they don´t make you lose 1 Health Point, they can push you out of the platform. 

TO THE TOP OF TOPMAN´S TOWER

(A DOS VELOCIDADES EN LA TORRE)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY.

Well, the title sais what you have to do: climb to the top of the Topman´s tower. It won´t be easy: everything will be extremely fast. However, there are some blue buttons that you can press to make the enemies move slowly. You must use the Green Topmans to advance through this Galaxy, by jumping on them so they make you fly. As I´ve said before, the only thing that Topmans do is pushing you. 

ENEMIES

Do I have to say that there are lots of Topmans? Well, and electric balls called Amps, but you surely have seen them in previous Galaxies. But  the most dangerous enemies are the Thwomps-they can smash you if you don´t control the time. There are also Water Shooters that can push you out of the platforms. 

TOPMAN´S RING (MINIBOSS)

Here you must push two Topmans to the electricity barrier that is surrounding you. By doing this, a Green Topman will appear and it will push you to the Star.

MY ADVICE

Trying to climb the Tower without making the enemies go slowly is a very risky idea. I recommend doing a Bomb Jump on the blue buttons, so the enemies are not so dangerous.In addition, slow-enemy motion seems like  black and white TV. But before the effects disappear, you should found another blue button. 

BOO MOON GALAXY

(GALAXIA LUNA BOO) 

SILVER STARS POP-UP

(ESTRELLAS DE PLATA EN LA CASA DESPLEGABLE)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

If you thought that Boos wouldn´t come back, you were WRONG! They are in this moon to disturb you. You will have to obtain 5 Silver Stars in a Pop-Up house. It will go up and down. But before reaching this, more trials are waiting for you: a dark labyrinth, a moon with 5 Star Ring pieces and a walk in pink panels over a deadly pond. 

ENEMIES

BOOS AND OCTOBOOS!!! They are undefeatable, and they will be disturbing you the whole Galaxy. This would be a good Galaxy for Luigi, the Green Brother. 

 

I´M USED TO DEAL WITH BOOS, BUT I´M AFRAID OF THEM. 

MY ADVICE

It may seem a very difficut Star, but it is quite easy. The only thing you have to worry about is following the pink path without falling to the pond, but even that is easy.  Collect the 5 Silver Stars but don´t forget about the Boos or they will hit you. 

HAUNTING THE HOWLING TOWER

(MARIO FANTASMA, ¡A FLOTAR!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This is a Galaxy prepared for you to use a special Power-Up: Boo Mario. You land in the dark labyrinth of the previous Star. But now you must look for a pipe that will send you to a Howling Tower, full of monsters and windmills. Mario will have to fly to get the Power Star, but how do we do that?

BOO MARIO

This is a Super Mario Galaxy Power-Up. It will allow you to fly whenever you want and to pass through the walls, just like Boos. However, if you receive damage, you will lose your Power-Up, but there will always be a Boo Mushroom,, so you can keep flying. 

Mario behaves as a Boo! I hope Luigi isn´t there. He would get scared.

ENEMIES

Boos, Octoboos... and Spiny Hermits. But now it´s even more difficult to avoid them. Because Boo Mario can´t hit the enemies and he moves very slowly. To sum up, it is impossible to hit, but easy to get hit. 

MY ADVICE

Practise with Boo Mario, and contol the timing, because otherwise, the enemies will hit you and you will to start all over again. 

And thanks God that King Boo isn´t here. He would be a tough boss.

THE STAR IN THE SINKING SWAMP

(UNA LUNA COMO UNA CUNA)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This is a hidden Star in the first mission. Instead of jumping on the Star Ring when you´re on the pink path, jump to another hidden path, but without falling to the swamp, until you reach the hidden Star. 

YES, Luigi is coming to the Boo Moon. But was he forced to do it? I thought Luigi was resting at home, while Mario was trying not to fall into the Swamp.

ENEMIES

The same than in the previous Star: Boos and Octooboos (my hypothesis is that they are the spirits from all the Octoombas we´ve killed, and the population in this Moon will increase if we kill more enemies).

MY ADVICE

Run, because the path will be appearing and disappearing really fast, but if you´re focused, you´ll get it (even if you play as the frightened Green Brother).

UPSIDE DIZZY GALAXY

(GALAXIA MANSIÓN SUBE Y BAJA)

A WALK ON THE WEIRD SIDE

(UN CAMINO SIN PIES NI CABEZA)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This looks like the Gravity mansion in World 1. Do you remember it? But now, the Gravity platforms are moving and in one part, the gravity will change every 5 seconds. So you must be cautious, so you don´t fall down or you get hit by the electricity. This is the real Gravity challenge. Avoid the enemies, go with correct timing, and you´ll get the Power Star.

ENEMIES

The electric walls appear to be the principal enemy, like in the Space Storm Galaxy. Paragoombas and Swaphoppers (the same enmies that in Rightside Down Galaxy) are minor enemies.

MY ADVICE

The music can give you a clue of when the gravity is going to change. Listen to the music so you don´t fall into the electric panels.

BURNING UPSIDE DIZZY

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

Welcome to another hidden Star. As in the Rightside Down Galaxy, in World 1, here there is a Burning-Box mission. You will have to destroy all the boxes with fireballs in 20 SECONDS!!!!

So the Gearmo gives you the Star.

WORK, WORK, AND DESTROY THE BOXES. I´M EXPLOITING YOU AND I´M ONLY GIVING YOU 1 POWER STAR.

ENEMIES

Aaah... Remember that Paragoomba?

YES, THAT ONE. 

"I WILL DEFEAT MARIO THIS TIME!!" HE WILL NOT REACH THE GEARMO POWER STAR!!

How many times has this enemy said that? The Paragoomba is the most stomped enemy in the game.

MY ADVICE

Don´t throw a lot of firaballs in one place, because one fireball can destroy all the boxes in its way. 

And use Luigi if you can. It is not essential, but after a lot of attempts with Mario, I tried with Luigi and I got the Star.

WORLD 2-2. SKATING, SWIMMING AND FLYING

BUMBLE BEGINNINGS

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

You will unlock this Galaxy after feeding a Hungry Luma that will ask you for a lot of Star Bits.

When you arrive here, some bees will tell you that they are looking for a Star. You will have a new Power-Up to reach that Star: Bee Mario. You must keep flying to advance through the Galaxy, avoiding the enemies. There are only two Galaxies where you will need a Bee mushroom. This is one of them.

BEE MARIO

This is a new Power-Up, that will allow you to keep flying for a short period of time. Then, you will need to land or to get a coin to recover before starting flying again. This Power- Up disappears when you touch water or you get hit by an enemy.

 

ENEMIES

Do you remember that in the Hightail Falls and in the Wild Glide Galaxy there were not enemies? Well, here there are lots of them: from Fuzzies, classic black spots that have appeared in every Mario game, to Choppahs, flying monsters that are impossible to defeat by jumping on them or spining. There are Goombas and Venus Piranha plants, plants that will trap you if you spend too much time resting on them.

MY ADVICE

Wait until the Choppahs are down before jumping. If not, you can die because of them. 

There is one phases in which the are cherries that will give you more time to fly if you hit against them.

THE SECRET WALL JUMP

(LA ESCALADA SECRETA HACIA LA ESTRELLA)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This is a hidden Star in the Honeybloom Galaxy. You must go up by jumping from one wall to another, until you reach a small lake with the Power Star. It does not take a great time to get this Star (I did it in 40 seconds).

ENEMIES

Before that wall, you will find two lonely Goombas, that will want to kill you.

MY ADVICE

Well, this Star is easy to get, but you will have to explore the Galaxy to discover that there is a Star in that place.

Just by exploring the Galaxy, (although this may bring some terrible deaths).

COSMIC COVE GALAXY 

(GALAXIA GRUTA GÉLIDA)

TWIN FALLS HIDEAWAY

(EL MISTERIO DE LAS CASCADAS GEMELAS)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

You will face a penguin that also appeared in Super Mario Galaxy, and he tells you that everyone is swimming. You will have to enter in the water and to keep going without losing all your air, until you arrive to a Tower that has a button that can freeze all the planet. You must do the wall jump in two freezed walls to reach the Star.

                        

This are all the type of penguins that you can find in this Galaxy.

ENEMIES

In this Galaxy you will find 1 Koopa, some fishes called Cheep Cheeps, some Skeeters and 1 Porcu-Puffer. There are a lot of underwater enemies.

MY ADVICE

After defeating the Koopa that is in the beach, don´t throw his shell away. Grab it and get into the water with it. It will help you to go faster underwater, and it will kill some enemies, too. 

EXPLORING THE COSMIC CAVERN

(EXPEDICIÓN EN LA GRUTA GÉLIDA)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

When you arrive you see that a Luma is trapped and you must find the key to free him. You must keep going over the ice and underwater , without losing your air, until you find the key to free him. He will seand you to a planet full of enemies that you must defeat, so the planet gets covered by the water and you can get the Star, that is over the water.

ENEMIES

Here you will find mines, that you can destroy by throwing Star Bits to them, Goombas, Lil´Brs(they can freeze you  if you touch them) and huge monsters called Gringills, they can make you lose 1 HP.

MY ADVICE

Get all the coins you can, because if you lose your air you die. You can also get bubbles to recover. Spin to swim faster. That is something that will surely help. 

CATCH THAT STAR BUNNY

(¡ATRAPA AL CONEJO ESTELAR!) 

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This is a hidden Star in the Cosmic Cove Galaxy. You will have to give 15 coins to a Hungry Luma (what I call Thieve Lumas), to unlock this planet. It has a black hole in the center, so it´s better to avoid falling there. Here you will have to chase a Star Bunny until you trap him, so he gives you that hidden Power Star. 

ENEMIES

To stop you and to make more difficult to catch the Star Bunny, there are many Skeeters throughout the planet, BUT you can freeze them so they don´t disturb you anymore.

MY ADVICE

When you arrive at the planet, there is a blue button that can freeze the planet. The Skeeters will not disturb you for a short period of time. Start skating (you will go faster) and catch that fast Bunny. He will give you that Power Star. But be careful. If you go extremely fast, you will suicide.

BOWSER´S LAVA LAIR

HOW IS THIS GALAXY

This is the first Bowser´s battle of the game. You will have to keep going through this Galaxy, with plenty of enemies, and to open huge doors by doing Bomb jumps on meteorites. It is a very good Galaxy, where you can find a wide variety of enemies, and also the Toad Brigade. Advance through this crazy Galaxy full of dangers, enemies, and, of course, lava. 

ENEMIES

Dry Bones, Hammer Bros (special tutles that throw hammers), Whomps (they can kill you by smashing you), Bowser´s electric statues, that throw electric radiation, flames ... They are only some of the enemies that are waiting for you here. 

 

BOWSER 1 (BOSS)

He is the final boss of World 2. You get to him after destroying a locker with meteorites. You must avoid Bowser´s punch and  flame and hit him with meteorites, that fall on the planet,  4 times to defeat him. You only have one opportunity of hitting him, before the self-destruction of the meteorites. After defeating Bowser, he will escape and you will have a Maxi Star.

He is not really difficult to defeat, but you will have to battle him again in another Galaxy.

MY ADVICE

Avoid to be smashed by the Whomps, and practise doing BOMB JUMPS on the meteorites. You will have to learn it for the final battle. 

WORLD 1-1. THE GREAT COSMIC ADVENTURE BEGINS

SKY STATION GALAXY

 (GALAXIA JARDINES SIDERALES) 

PEE-WEE PIRANHA TEMPER TANTRUM

HOW IS THIS GALAXY? 

After you enter in the Star Ring, you are thrown to the Sky Station Galaxy. A Luma will tell you that Bowser has stolen the Power Stars. You have to climb to the roof of Yoshi´s house. Here a Star Ring will throw you to the next phase.

 The Lumas will help you to advance through the Galaxy, and will tell you news about Bowser: He has scaped with Peach and the Power Stars. After defeating the boss in the end, you will get the first star of the game.

This is how Yoshi´s house looks.

 

RAINBOW MARIO 

In one point of the Galaxy, you will find a coloured star, that will transform you in Rainbow Mario. It will give you invulnerability for a short period of time. You will kill all the enemies you touch. Do you know the Rainbow Mario song? I like to sing it, although it is in Spanish:

Soy invencible,

no puedes tocarme, 

puedes correr, 

pero no esconderte...

ENEMIES.

In this Galaxy, you can find Goombas-the normal Mario enemies, and its cosmic variation,  the Octoombas.

You can defeat both of them by jumping on their heads. But the real problem is to defeat the boss. 

PEE-WEE PIRANHA (BOSS)

He is still a baby, so his attacks are not really difficult to evade. You must hit him in the egg twice to find the butt and hit him there. He will get angry and you will have to repeat this process. 

MY ADVICE.

This is not a very difficult Galaxy, (even my mother could defeat Pee-Wee Piranha) but I recommend getting the Red Mushroom (It will allow you to have 6 HP) to avoid surprises with Pee-Wee Piranha. You can get a lot of 1-Up mushrooms, so do not worry if you die. 

STORMING THE SKY FLEET 

(¡ASALTO A LA ESTACIÓN BALÍSTICA!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY?

To enter to the Sky Fleet, you will need to get a key so you can help the Luma that will transport you to this spaceship. You will have to find the hole to get inside the spaceship and to keep going through this Galaxy.

ENEMIES

In this Galaxy there are a lot of Banzai Bills, huge, enormous bullets that can destroy you. You can only kill them with Rainvow Mario.

There is a mini-boss in the end, a huge Piranha Plant, that you will have to destroy to get the Star. 

You will find another enemies, such as Chain Chomps (we´ll talk about them in another Galaxy and Amps (do you remember the video of 128 ways of dying here?).

MY ADVICE

This Galaxy would be easy if we removed one enemy: The freaking Cosmic Clones. They are the worst characters in the game!!!! They are chasing you and you cannot stop or return to a place. They will hit you. I hate them!!! They are just.... AAAARGH impossible! 

Fortunately, in this Galaxy, they only appear in the Switch part (you have to turn yellow all the Switches to eliminate them) but they will return.

YOSHI´S STAR GALAXY

(GALAXIA ESTRELLA DE YOSHI)

SADDLE UP WITH YOSHI

HOW IS THIS GALAXY?

This Galaxy is focused on Yoshi, so we can say he is the Star of the Galaxy (Ok, I recognise it was a bad joke).  At the beggining, Yoshi is prisioned at his egg. You need to defeat Kamek to free him.

It is like a tutorial of how to use Yoshi. He can eat fruit and some enemies. You can jump higher with him. When you spin, he will move his head. He can use flowers to keep flying.  

BUT... IF AN ENEMY HITS HIM, HE WILL RUN AWAY.

ENEMIES.

There is a huge amount of enemies. Appart from the Goombas and the Octoombas, you will find Piranha Plants, Flipbugs (what I call the Suicide Mosquitoes) and Kamek, who you need to kill to free Yoshi.

MY ADVICE.

Honestly, the Galaxy isn´t very difficult: There are plenty of 1-Ups, it is almost impossible to fall to the floor. But i´ve got an advice: Do not walk in the mud. It will be impossible for you to jump, and you can die there. Look what it happens (5:51- 6:03)!!!!

SPINY CONTROL

(¡LANZAMIENTO DE PINCHONES!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY?

After returning from Mario´s spacehip, you se that something has changed. There are a lot of Spinies. You can eat them and throw them to glasses covering coins, 1-Up mushrooms or even Star Rings and Lumas. The Spinies can break the glasses.  According to this video there is an easy way to do it.

But you will have to defeat a boss in the end...

ENEMIES.

The basic enemies here the Spinies and the Lakitus. As the second ones are always regenerating to throw more monsters from their clouds, it will be impossible to defeat them all. Just try to break the glasses with the Spinies that Yoshi can eat.

GIGA LAKITU (BOSS)

Well, it was expectable, no? If the only enemies here are Spinies and Lakitus, one of them should be the boss. 

Giga Lakitu will throw you Spinies. You must eat them and counter-attack throwing them back to him. He´s moving, so it will not be easy. In addition, he can throw thunder and hit you, so you lose Yoshi. Fortunately, you can recover the Green Friend. After hitting him twice, he will turn red.

You must hit him three times to defeat him and get the Star.

MY ADVICE

I recommend to practise throwing the Spinies, becuse you must be pretty accurate to hit the boss three times. Try to get a 6-Point Red Mushroom so it is easier for you. What I have is a question about the boss: Why are the glasses the last thing falling to the ground? 

SPIN-DIG GALAXY 

(GALAXIA ESQUIVA Y EXCAVA)

DIGGA-LEG´S PLANET

HOW IS THE GALAXY

As the previous one, this Galaxy is a tutorial of how to use the Spin Drill. You will have to advance through the planets by drilling and finding the Lumas that will transport you to the next phase. 

Before the battle against the boss, you will find Captain Toad, in his Mushroom Spaceship. He encourages you to fight against the boss. 

SPIN DRILL

The first Power-Up in the game after Rainbow Mario. It will allow to dig in the planet and to reach new places. The only thing you must do is spinning to activate it and dig, dig, dig. You will lose it if an enemy hits you or if you touch a Star Ring.

ENEMIES

In the upper photo you can see the enmies  of these Galaxy: the Diggas, robts that can make you lose 1 HP. Another enemy is the Twirlip, an enemy that seems like a flower.

DIGGA-LEG (BOSS) 

This boss is bigger than the planet where he is fighting. It is a massive robot that can create Diggas to disturb you. But he has a weak point: his belly. Hit him there three times and you will get the Star. 

Here is when I discovered that when you die, you lose all your coins. This horrendous robot stole me 80 coins!!! I hated him so much.

MY ADVICE

You will  find a Hungry Luma that will give you a mushroom if you pay 30 Star Bits before the battle against the boss. If you have the 30 Star Bits, buy a 6-HP Red Mushroom. Digga-Leg can be tough, and this is not the only time you will fight him. 

DIGGA-LEG WILL TAKE REVENGE!

SILVER STARS DOWN DEEP 

(¡DESENTIERRA LAS ESTRELLAS DE PLATA!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY? 

Here you will need the Spin Drill again. After escaping from the Cosmic Clones, you will obtain some herbs that will help you to reach new phases. 

The last phase of the Galaxy is a planet in which there are 5 Silver Stars. According to one Toad called Toadbert, after collecting them, the 5 Silver Stars will join and form a Power Star. 

ENEMIES

Yes, the Diggas are back, and in the first phase you will have to deal with the Cosmic Clones. There are also Goombas, Amps... Many enemies to stop the plumber.

( In this video you can see that it is possible to play as Luigi).

MY ADVICE

After the battle against the boss, this is a really calmed Galaxy. However,  be careful with the Amps and use the Spin Drill when you need it. I died once because of these monsters.

FLIP SWAP GALAXY 

(GALAXIA VUELTA Y VUELTA)

THINK BEFORE YOU SHAKE

(¡AGITAR ANTES DE PISAR!)

HOW IS THIS GALAXY 

You will get here after feeding a Hungry Luma with 300 Star Bits. In this Galaxy there are Red and Blue panels. You can switch from one another by shaking the Wii remote. But (although it may be repetitive) THINK twice before shaking or you will die. If you don´t want to shake you can try to do like  in these videos:

ENEMIES

You will find Goombas, Octoombas and Chain Chomps. This huge dogs can push you out of the platforms if you touch them. However, they will fall if they can´t advence throgh the red or the blue panels.

MY ADVICE.

You will need to combine Jumps with Spins. My advice is to contol the timing, and jump and shake in the correct moment, or you will die. Go to 4:09 of the video.
